Booking and Appointments
Q: Do you work with my GP?
A: Yes. The GP will send us relevant information regarding your condition, to help with your care. Many patients come to the clinic with a complex treatment background, often with a NHS referral they feel will not help in time. To help ensure your treatment at the clinic is provided in a timely manner, we remain in contact with your GP, communicating with them and sending back specialist reports.
Q: How long does it take to get an appointment?
A: We get patients at many different stages of pain, some of whom are in the process of treatment but face a long waiting list. Others have a minor ailment that they can wait to be treated. Depending on the severity of your condition, Dr. Tewani will triage your appointment. Most initial consultations occur within a few days, sometimes they can be up to 2 weeks.
Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: To book, please call our medical secretary, who will gather your information, inform you about costs, procedures, and the insurance process if applicable. Following this, the consultant will conduct an initial consultation, preferably face-to-face though over the phone in exceptional circumstances.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We require at least 2 working days’ notice for cancellations, to avoid fees. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule. If you cancel within 2 working days or do not appear for your appointment, half charges will apply.

Q: Do I need a referral from my GP?
A: GP or specialist referrals are always required. Self-referral patients do not need GP referrals but still require at least a specialist referral—please discuss this when booking.
Q: What if I don’t have a GP?
A: For patients who aren’t registered with a GP, or are from foreign countries, we still would need their medical records and information from their family doctor. It is not easy to treat a patient without any medical records, while also providing high quality care. Although the clinic could in exceptional circumstances provide treatment without such records, it will result in substantially higher consultation costs as more time will be needed to ascertain patient history.
